With a view to facilitating the visa application process and providing better service to the applicants, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia will launch Digital Visa Application Form (online filling-in application form) and Online Appointment System starting from Aug 1, 2018.

The main steps of the online visa application is as follows:

1. Log on the website: https://cova.cs.mfa.gov.cn and fill in visa application form online.

2. Print out the visa application form and the confirmation form, and sign on the confirmation form.

3. Log on the website: https://avas.cs.mfa.gov.cn. to make an appointment.

4. Come to the Embassy at the appointed time to apply with the visa application form, the confirmation form, passport and relevant documents needed.

During this transitional period from Aug 1st to Aug 31st 2018, the Embassy will receive walk-in application case as well as online application case.If applicants fail to make an appointment online, he/she can bring the printed digital visa application form, the confirmation form and relevant documents directly to the Embassy. From Sep. 1st 2018 on, the Embassy will only accept digital application form and online appointment cases.
