Premier Li Keqiang congratulated Ethiopia's new Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed Ali on April 4th, 2018.

In his congratulatory message, Premier Li said that in recent years, the China-Ethiopia relationship has reached the best historical stage with holistic and rapid development exhibited by ever-deepening mutual political trust and fruitful practical cooperation.

Premier Li stressed that China attaches great importance to the development of the China-Ethiopia relationship, and stands ready to work closely with Ethiopia to jointly implement the Belt and Road Initiative, expand friendly and mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields and enrich the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership.
