On May 25th, H.E. Mr. Xi Jinping, President of the People's Republic of China congratulated H.E. Dr. Mulatu Teshome, President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia on the occasion of the 27th Ethiopian National Day.

In a congratulatory message, Xi said recent years have witnessed the rapid development of China-Ethiopia relationship, with steady progress in various fields of cooperation, playing an exemplary role in China-Africa relationship and South-South Cooperation. The two countries enjoy frequent high-level exchange of visits and increasing political mutual trust, and exchange firm support on issues related to each other's core interests and major concerns.

Xi said he attaches great importance to the development of China-Ethiopia relationship and stands ready to work together with President Mulatu, to continuously enrich the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership between China and Ethiopia, for the betterment of the welfare of our two countries and peoples.
